试镜基本知识
All students who seek admission to newbb电子平台 with a major 在跳舞 must audition. The audition is for both admission and talent-based scholarship decisions.
Acceptance to the 跳舞 major or minor program in choreography and performance is by talent audition. 试镜 are scheduled to coordinate with various university application deadlines. Students who audition and are accepted into the dance program must also apply and be accepted by newbb电子平台.
The audition provides the dancer with an opportunity to demonstrate their talent, 培训水平, and aptitude for further study in dance. Auditionees are not expected to demonstrate proficiency in all techniques. The audition committee evaluates technical proficiency, physical strength and flexibility, spatial and rhythmic accuracy, and performance quality.

On-campus dance auditions will take place during the 舞蹈学院 Open House & 海选活动于 2023年1月20日至21日. 试镜 will take place on Saturday, January 21 and are preceded by an optional open house on Friday, 1月20日. 开放日期间, students and families will have opportunities to tour the dance building, 参与课堂, observe dance concerts and learn important information. In-person audition registration form and optional video audition submission form available soon.
The Honors Tutorial Program 在跳舞 Studies offers an individualized course of study for highly self-motivated students. Applications to this program must be submitted by November 15. This application must include the dance audition video process detailed below, as well as supplemental essays.
